I tried to sync but nothing happens. I checked the Sync Log. It shows it started and completed but didn't do anything.
Before you do anything, please make a recent backup copy of your files. See these instructions:
MasterCook 24 Backup
Next, please reset the syncing files on your computer as explained below. Then sign back into your account in the sync manager. Wait for it to finish loading. Then check the MC Tools and My Collection sections of the Sync screen and confirm things look as expected before you sync.
RESETTING THE MASTERCOOK 24 SYNCING FILES ON THE COMPUTER
1. Tell Windows to show you hidden files and folders on the computer. See this: Show Hidden Files
2. Restart your computer. Do not start up MasterCook yet.
3. Then go to this folder on your computer:
C:\ProgramData\MasterCook 24
(Open the C drive. Open the ProgramData folder. Open the MasterCook 24 folder. If you do not see the ProgramData folder within the C drive, that means Windows is hiding it from you. Please follow Step 1 above.)
4. Delete the JSON files and the MCW file from that MasterCook 24 folder as shown below. (There could be up to 3 JSON files inside this folder. The program will recreate these files later.)
5. Then start up Sync Manager and sign into the Sync screen and wait for it to load. Confirm things look as expected in the sync screen. If things do not look as expected, stop! Do not sync. Send us a screenshot showing what you see. Let us know what you expected to see instead. Otherwise, if the sync screen looks as expected, then you can sync a cookbook. It is strongly advised to sync one cookbook at a time. If something goes sideways, at least just one cookbook is affected. If any point you have a problem syncing, sign out of the sync manager and contact us for further instructions.
If you continue to have problems, please send the MyMasterCookErrors.txt file to MasterCook Support if it appears in the \ProgramData\MasterCook 24 folder at the same location mentioned above. If the sync manager is unable to work properly, then it creates the MyMasterCookErrors.txt file to log the errors.
