If you attempt to install MasterCook on your computer and receive an error message that states:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
it means that something on your computer is blocking MasterCook from installing.
It could be caused by the user account on the computer not having administrator privilege. Review your account settings and make sure your user account on the computer has administrator privileges.
Otherwise, a MasterCook user found that McAfee caused this error when they tried to install MasterCook. They were able to get McAfee to allow them to install the program on their computer.
Other antivirus programs can block you from installing MasterCook too, so check the documentation and help that comes with your antivirus program or contact their Support Department to find out how to disable it or tell it to allow you to install MasterCook.
To exclude known safe files and applications for McAfee:
- Open your McAfee security software.
