If you are using the Windows program and it suddenly is very slow to load, this can be caused by Windows no longer allowing the program to fully function properly. It can create multiple MC World.mcw files in this folder on your computer: C:\ProgramData\MasterCook 20
If you find you have multiple MC World.mcw files inside that folder, close MasterCook and then delete all of them. The program will create a new one the next time you start up the program.
If the problem continues where those MC World.mcw files are duplicated again, please check your VirtualStore\ProgramData folder to see if there is a MasterCook 20 folder inside there.
Tell Windows to show you hidden files and folders on your computer as explained here:
https://support.mastercook.com/hc/en-us/articles/216887326-Showing-Hidden-Files-in-Windows-8-10
Open this folder on your computer: C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData
Open the C drive. Open the Users folder. Open the folder of your account. Open the AppData folder. Open the Local folder. Open the VirtualStore folder. Open the ProgramData folder.
If you find a MasterCook 20 folder inside of that VirtualStore\ProgramData folder, please restart your computer and do not use MasterCook.
Delete the MasterCook 20 folder from the VirtualStore folder. Then start up MasterCook 2020, and it should work properly now.
The only time files and folders get created inside the VirtualStore folder is when your computer is not allowing that program to work properly. Please keep an eye on that VirtualStore folder going forward.
