"Payment error: Declined (2: This transaction has been declined.)"

I am trying to make a purchase, and I keep getting a declined message with the error code of 2.

That error message means your bank declined the transaction. Call the number on the back of your credit card. Tell them you are inquiring about the attempted recent purchases and need to know why they declined payment. They can give you those details.

They can see the charges attempted and tell you why they blocked them. They of course won't tell us anything because it's a secured transaction.
