I am trying to install MasterCook onto my computer, but it is not working. I am getting an error that says Feature Transfer Error.
This error means something on your computer is blocking the program from installing. Other users have found this to be caused by a security program on their computer. One MasterCook user found that the Windows Ransomware Protection program caused this problem. They disabled the Windows Ransomware Protection program, and then they were able to install the program on their computer.
You can try the same and see if that solves your issue too. Then you can re-enable the Ransomware Protection program.
You can toggle it off and on as explained in this article:
Enable Windows Defender Ransomware Protection
There are reports that the Windows Ransomware Protection program is prone to false positives and is causing issues for several programs. So once you get MasterCook installed, if it isn't working properly, it could be your antivirus/security program is blocking it from fully working.
You can add programs like MasterCook to the Windows Ransomware Protection program as explained near the end of the article linked above.
