Cookbook Opens But The Recipes Won't Open

This article applies to MasterCook 20 and older only.

The newer versions of MasterCook do not use QuickTime. If you are using MasterCook 22 or greater and have a problem opening a recipe within a cookbook, contact MasterCook Support.

If you can open a cookbook but when you click on a recipe it won't open, that generally indicates QuickTime needs to be installed or updated on your computer. Install QuickTime if necessary. Otherwise, update it and see if that solves the problem. Another thing to try is to close MasterCook and delete the MC World.mcw file that is within the MC TOOLS folder on your computer. When you start up MasterCook a new file will be created. The old one may have become corrupt.
