Importing from Cook'n

How do I import my recipes from Cook'n?

First, you need to get your recipes out of Cook'n program on your computer. Use the Export as Cook'n format in the Export options. This will create a .dvo file that contains your recipes. This file can be converted into the .mz2 cookbook format for MasterCook.

You have two choices:

1. Use cb2cb to convert your .dvo file into the .mz2 format.

2. Purchase a 2nd Level MasterCook Support Ticket. We can convert your .dvo file into MasterCook format and send you back the converted cookbooks.

CONVERT THE FILE YOURSELF

Their website explains how that program can converted cookbook files from one format into another. MasterCook can open the .mz2 format, so convert your .dvo file into .mz2. Then use Windows to open the .mz2 file. MasterCook will prompt you to import the recipes in that file into the program.

If you need help using cb2cb, you must click on the FORUM link along the left side of their website to post a message in their forum for help with their program.
