MasterCook 22 Custom Installation on a Network

Like previous versions of MasterCook, you can use the Custom Installation option to have the user files installed in another location other than the default location. Please be aware that the installer does not resolve network drive paths correctly due to limitations it has with reading the assigned drive letters (e.g. F:/ , G/: , H:/ etc.) to those network locations.

You can easily resolve this by changing 3 registry keys under 1 registry entry as follows:

  1. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MasterCook\MasterCook 22\DocPath
  2. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MasterCook\MasterCook 22\Start
  3. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MasterCook\MasterCook 22\ToolsPath

The entries that need to change after installing it on a network drive are highlighted in yellow as shown in the image below.
