When trying to update or run the installation for MasterCook, I receive an error message that states:
There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
SOLUTIONS
<> This problem will happen if the sync manager of a previous version is running when you install MasterCook 24. Right click on the sync manager icon in the Windows System Tray (in the lower right corner of your computer screen where the volume and other icons are) and select Exit MasterCook Sync Manager. Then try installing MasterCook 24 again.
<> Right click on the setup file and select Run as Administrator to install with elevated privileges.
<> If you are using Windows 10, try this: Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed - Microsoft Support
<> When the installer asks you where to install the folders and files, select the Public folder instead of the Public Documents folder. See if it installs from that location instead.
<> Otherwise, if you are trying to update an existing installation and have issues, you will need to use Windows to uninstall MasterCook. Then perform a fresh installation using the update file.
