Cannot Load Image

This error message can happen if your MC World.mcw file becomes corrupt. Close MasterCook. Use Windows to find the MC World.mcw file on your computer. Delete that file. Start up MasterCook, and a fresh file will be created. If this doesn't solve your problem, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the program after you back up your files.

For MasterCook 14 the MC World.mcw file is within the MasterCook 14 folder at this location on your computer:

C:\ProgramData\MasterCook 14

1.   Press the Windows key and R key on your keyboard.

2.   Enter the text in the quotes below exactly but exclude the quotes in the Open: box then click OK

      "%ProgramData%\MasterCook 14"

3.   You should see MC World.mcw file. Delete it.

For the older versions of MasterCook you will find the MC World.mcw file within the MC Tools folder on the computer.

 

For MasterCook 11 the MC Tools folder is at this location:

     C:\Users\Public\Documents\MasterCook\Mc Tools

1.   Press the Windows key and R key on your keyboard.

2.   Enter the text in the quotes below exactly but exclude the quotes in the Open: box then click OK

      "%Public%\Documents\MasterCook\Mc Tools"

3.   You should see MC World.mcw file. Delete it.

For MasterCook 9 or less the MC Tools folder is at this location:

      C:\Program Files\MasterCook {version}

      C:\Program Files (x86)\MasterCook {version}

1.   Press the Windows key and R key on your keyboard.

2.   Enter the text in the quotes below exactly but exclude the quotes and replace {version} with the version number of MasterCook you have in the Open: box then click OK

      "%ProgramFiles%\MasterCook {version}\Mc Tools" or 

      "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\MasterCook {version}\Mc Tools"

3.   You should see MC World.mcw file. Delete it.
